Description
South polar maps in IR642, RGB & CH4 from my image set this morning. In CH4, there's a rather interesting protrusion from the south polar hood just south of the S4 LRS. It turns out to be coincident with what may be a large northward bulge in the pale polar FFRs, reaching to the north of 65deg S latitude at close to 100deg longitude. The pale features are visible in IR & RGB. Image quality was not so good for methane (may be soft focus). A similar pattern may have occurred around 11th June 2018 (methane bulge, bunched FFRs reaching further north).
