An image processed from the PJ38_14 raw image framelets. The contrast has been increased and small scale features sharpened. North is to the upper right. The area near the upper right corner is very dark in the original image data, therefore it appears noisy and the color is inaccurate there.

This image (and the other enhanced images I processed from raw image PJ38_14) was processed by correcting for the varying solar illumination across the image before enhancing the contrast etc., in effect simulating a uniformly illuminated Jupiter. To do this, a photometric function and photometric parameters are required. For this image I used new and improved photometric parameters compared to what I had done earlier. These new parameters turned out way better than I expected and reduced the amount of post-processing that is required. So I uploaded these images here even though they were originally supposed to be experimental.
