An approximately true color/contrast mosaic of the four PJ45 Europa images obtained by Juno. The mosaic is rendered from Juno's location when image PJ45_4 was obtained and is enlarged by a factor of 2 relative to that image. This approximates what Europa would look like from that location at higher resolution (except near the limb) than in image PJ45_4.

The relative contrast and brightness of various features on Europa's surface is known to change significantly as the viewing geometry changes, even if the illumination geometry doesn't change. Therefore this image is only an approximation since most of the data in this mosaic is not from image PJ45_4. In particular there are probably some subtle differences from Europa's real appearance near the terminator, especially at high latitudes.
