An approximately true color/contrast preliminary map-projected mosaic of the four PJ45 Europa images obtained by JunoCam. The map has a resolution of 32 pixels/degree. This corresponds to ~850 m/pixel which is slightly higher resolution than the highest resolution obtained by JunoCam (~960 m/pixel).

The mosaic has been illumination-adjusted. The photometric parameters are preliminary; in particular the map might be too bright near the terminator at left. Some post-processing was necessary to completely remove the seams between the images. The pastel colors at the terminator are a processing artifact that appeared because I wanted to bring out features in the very dimly lit areas at the terminator.

The positions of various features in this map are similar to the positions of these features in maps posted earlier by Gerald Eichstädt. The typical difference is ~0.3 degrees whereas the typical difference compared to older Galileo/Voyager maps is ~0.6 degrees. This can be improved later with more careful geometric corrections.
