Image 30 of Io obtained by JunoCam on December 30, 2023. North is up. The color balance is preliminary but hopefully this is not very far from Io's real color. The brightness of the nightside has been increased to show details there illuminated by Jupitershine.

A volcanic eruption plume is visible at lower right. Its brightness has been greatly exaggerated to show it more clearly. Even though it is very faint in the original data it is definitely a real feature since it is visible in more more than one image. In the original data it is faint and the data is noisy so it is heavily processed here. The processing is a bit speculative because in the original data it is not completely obvious exactly how large the plume is. I probably used more artistic license here than I usually do. For the plume I started with an average of images 30 and 31 to reduce the noise slightly.
