A curling cloud front and clusters of bright cloudlets in Jupiter’s northern atmosphere, captured by JunoCam on 16 October 2021 during Juno’s 37th perijove. The spacecraft was approximately 3,950 kilometres above the cloud tops when the observation was acquired.

This detail view explores the contrast between long, flowing cloud bands and the smaller bright formations gathered along their edges.

Colour and contrast have been enhanced to emphasise atmospheric structure.
