This collage consists of a background map derived from 40 Marble Movie images, and of additional foreground maps derived from selected perijove-1 images.

The foreground maps are individually and approximately de-lamberted, i.e. brightness-adjusted by a reference lighting model, usually called Lambertian model.

Using the 4-th power of the square-root encoded raw colors after applying some linear weight modifies Jupiter's apparent colors and enhances its features.

The 4-th power enhances inaccuracies within the applied lighting model, too. Inaccuracies of the color calibration results in the golden cast.

Inaccuracies of the lighting model with respect to reality adds a three-dimensional metallic impression near the terminator of each respective map.

Longitudes of the perijove-1 maps differ up to about 15 degrees longitude from the background map. This applies mainly to the southern hemisphere.

An artistic interpretation of this glitch would be a perspective view of the foreground perijove-1 maps of varying distance from the background map.
