Portion of JunoCam perijove image #41, looking northeast over the Great Red Spot. It captures the region where the southern jet stream of the South Equatorial Belt deflects northwards around the Great Red Spot. A strong anti-cyclonic system embedded within the jet stream is interacting with the western edge of the Red Spot. This interaction appears to be drawing a small tongue of material away from the spot.
