This image is derived from JunoCam's Perijove-04 image #101. It's a crop of cylindrical map projection, and tries to stay close to the hue of the "natural" color. However, after de-companding the colors of the raw image data, and adjusting for the sensitivity of the camera to different colors, most of the illumination-induced gradient has been adjusted by applying a Lambert illumination model assuming Jupiter's 1-bar-spheroid model. The resulting image is contrast-enhanced by squaring the radiometrically calibrated intermediate values, followed by a further linear brightness stretch to use the full brightness range, and 2-fold saturation enhancement. The resolution of the image is 60 pixels per Jupiter's longitude / latitude square.
