About This Round
Juno will be in solar conjunction for a week following the PJ50 perijove pass. That means that all data for that time period will be stored on the spacecraft computer. We won't see any of our data for a week - that means we have to be very selective about the images we take and very conscientious about data volume. The spacecraft is also passing through very high radiation so we are not compressing the data as much.
Perijove Predict Map
About Perijove Predict Maps

Every perijove pass we have the challenge of predicting where Points of Interest will be as the different zones of the planet have different wind velocities. This map shows our effort to rotate the latitudinal zones with their different wind speeds to predict what will be under the Juno groundtrack.

Winner Selection
We focus on northern hemisphere images. The ground track passes from day side to night side right at perijove.
