Description
This is an LRGB image of Jupiter from 11-Dec-2016. It is the first image obtained in the observation season 2016-2017. In this image we can see the small southern polar spot, a fairly stable STZ region, and some streaks in the northern polar region NPR. Callisto is traveling through the north. The spots on the edge S of STB near the CM, and on the edge S of the SEB, are image artifacts caused by dirt on the camera. This image was possible in an evening with clear sky, in the final phase of the rainy season, in good conditions of observation, with good view and good transparency.
