We’re calling all amateur astronomers to upload their telescopic images and data of Jupiter. These uploads are critical for the ongoing Discussion section and will help NASA successfully plan the future of the mission.
If you're a veteran astrophotographer or if you're just getting started with your first telescope, we highly recommend you read our Submission Guidelines [pdf] before submitting data. In the PDF you'll find information about the best capture and process workflows as well as links to free software and tutorials.
Upload your telescopic data and images using the UPLOAD DATA button above! If you have processed JunoCam images please go to the Image Processing section to upload them for display in our Image Gallery.
In the Image Processing section you can access the latest JunoCam images of Jupiter and see submitted processed images.
B channel data. Imaged Jupiter November 25th in quite reasonable seeing, have very good depth of resolved detail across the field. There is a plethora of very fine dark spots resolved in the NPR. Many small dark spots are resolved in the NTeZ including a formation of four quite prominent larger dark spots. The NEB is full of quite intricate detail including very prominent dark structures along it’s border with the EZ. The reddish colouring within the EZ is well seen.
Circulation is resolved within the GRS and the leading edge of the GRS has a prominent extension seen in IR , R, G & B data. The turbulent region following the GRS included a very bright elongated feature which is seen in IR, R, G & B data and very prominent in CH4. STZ-AWO is resolved below the GRS on the edge of the SEB while I believe the three white ovals aligned in the SSeB are from the left A5, A4 & A3.
