Description
CH4 data. Imaged Jupiter October 2nd in mostly good seeing. The head of outbreak #1 is seen toward the end of this session coming over the F limb. It is preceded by the quite incredible linear structure still visible from the other outbreaks. These data resolve a plethora of tiny compact dark spots within the NPR, two bright ovals are well resolved on the Southern edge of the NPR near the CM. The extremely delicate structure within the NEB is well resolved from limb to limb. A highlight of these data are the quite black features which seem associated with festoons in the EZ; although these have been prominent at least since February they have become even darker, thinner and just so delicate. The dark feature near the CM in these IR, R, G & B data is accompanied by two very compact bright spots v-close together just under the F end of the tail of the dark feature on the Southern edge of the NEB. A prominent small bright oval is well seen on the Northern edge of the SPR.
